COME OUT OF THAT SHADE (5)

It’s easy to believe that we’re doing the right things for the right reasons, while in the real sense of it, we’re not. The ignorance of this fact has relegated many people under the shade of misplaced potentials. This happens when a person is unknowingly busy exerting strength and languishing at the wrong purpose. To such a person, he is right, but essentially, he is not. This was exactly the case of Gideon in Judges 6. Gideon was a young man; God chose him to lead the Israeli army in the war against the Midianites. But the Angel found him at the wrong purpose. He was hiding in the wine press.

SCRIPTURE: When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” … “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand.” (Judges 6:12,14 NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: But Gideon was in the shade of the ignorant. He didn’t feel like a mighty warrior, he allowed his family and background status to overshadow his sense of purpose. He was fulfilling the wrong destiny. Too many of us are just like Gideon. We’re toiling and laboring in vain at the wrong place. We’re under the shade of fear and intimidation. And it has kept us continuously on the ground. But today, we’re encouraged to rediscover ourselves, change our mindset, and step out in faith to a new level of anointing and purpose. The Angel of the Lord is saying to you, “you’re a mighty warrior, come out of hiding, come out of that shade and possess your possession.” Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: No amount of energy exerted at the wrong purpose would make it right, but coming out of it and rediscover the right purpose makes the difference.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, don’t remain in the shade of ignorant, ask God for the grace of precision and direction of purpose in your life.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace for precision and direction of purpose, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord help you and direct your purpose in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
