Closing the Chapter With God (3)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Tuesday, 30 December 2025
Topic: Closing the Chapter With God (3)
Focus: Releasing What This Year Took From You
🔥Theme:
As the year comes to an end, God invites us to pause—not to rush ahead, but to reflect. This series is a sacred moment to look back with honesty, gratitude, and humility, and to release what this year carried into God’s hands. Through reflection and surrender, we learn how to close one chapter with peace so we can enter the next without burden. These devotionals will help you finish the year gently, faithfully, and anchored in God.
📖 Key Verse:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
Devotional:
Some years give more than they take. Others leave us tired, wounded, or changed. Loss may come through broken relationships, unmet expectations, missed opportunities, or silent disappointments. God does not ask us to ignore what hurt us. He invites us to release it. Holding on to pain keeps us tied to the chapter we are meant to close. Surrender allows God to heal what the year took from us.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Psalm 34:18 — God is close to the brokenhearted
- Matthew 11:28 — Jesus invites the weary to come
- Isaiah 43:18–19 — God is doing a new thing
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Psalm 34:18 reminds us that God is close to the brokenhearted. He meets us in our letting go. Releasing is not forgetting. It is trusting God with what you can no longer carry. Release makes room for healing. So, beloved, as you release, God begins restoring peace to your heart. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🕊️ You cannot carry the next chapter while holding the weight of the last.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Quietly tell God one thing this year took from you and surrender it to Him.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, I bring before You the losses and hurts of this year. I release what weighs heavy on my heart and trust You to heal and restore me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I release the pain of this year into God’s hands. I am no longer bound by what was lost, and my heart is being healed. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
