Closing the Chapter With God (2)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Monday, 29 December 2025

Topic: Closing the Chapter With God (2)

Focus: Looking Back With Gratitude, Not Regret

🔥Theme:

As the year comes to an end, God invites us to pause—not to rush ahead, but to reflect. This series is a sacred moment to look back with honesty, gratitude, and humility, and to release what this year carried into God’s hands. Through reflection and surrender, we learn how to close one chapter with peace so we can enter the next without burden. These devotionals will help you finish the year gently, faithfully, and anchored in God.

📖 Key Verse:

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1

Devotional:

As the year closes, it is easy to focus on what didn’t go as planned—the missed opportunities, the wrong choices, the prayers that seemed unanswered. But God invites us to look back differently. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lost to what God sustained. Even in hard moments, He provided strength, protection, lessons, and grace. Regret keeps us tied to the past, but gratitude frees our hearts to move forward.

📖 Scripture Reading:

  • Psalm 103:2 — Remember the Lord’s benefits
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:18 — Give thanks in all circumstances
  • Lamentations 3:22–23 — God’s mercies never fail

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Psalm 103:2 reminds us not to forget the Lord’s benefits. So, beloved, when we choose gratitude, we honor God’s faithfulness and acknowledge that He was present—even when the year felt heavy. This chapter may not have been perfect, but God was faithful through it all. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

🍂 Gratitude helps you close the year with peace instead of regret.

🛡️ Responsibility:

Write down three things God carried you through this year and thank Him for each one.

🙏 Prayer:

Father, thank You for every way You sustained me this year. Help me release regret and choose gratitude as I reflect on the past. I receive Your grace and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I choose gratitude over regret. I see God’s hand in every part of this year, and I close this chapter with a thankful heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
