CAST YOUR CARES ON THE LORD (5)

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: THURSDAY, 14 SEPTEMBER 2023

So, beloved, in conclusion let us explore on the significance of casting our cares on the Lord. Casting our cares on the Lord is an acknowledgment of our weakness and a declaration of our dependence on God’s strength. When we surrender our burdens, we allow God’s power to work in our lives. As the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10,

Bottom of FormSCRIPTURE: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” – 2 Cor. 12:9-10 (NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: When we cast our cares on the Lord, it bolsters us to release the burden of worry. Worry is like a heavy chain that binds the soul. When we cast our cares on the Lord, we break free from the chains of anxiety. We transfer the responsibility for our concerns from our shoulders to God’s capable hands. And this act of release allows us to experience the freedom and peace that come from trusting in God. It fosters confidence in God’s care. Knowing that the Creator of the universe cares for us personally strengthens our faith and encourages us to face challenges with boldness and assurance. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Casting your cares on the Lord is not merely a one-time event but a lifestyle of faith. It’s an ongoing practice of surrendering to God’s will and aligning our heart with His.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, today, let us cast our cares on the Lord, knowing that it deepens our relationship with God and helps us grow in spiritual maturity.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, as we cast our cares on You, give us the grace to develop a lifestyle of faith and grow in spiritual maturity, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As we cast all our cares on the Lord, may we experience the comfort and care of our Heavenly Father in all we do in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
