CAST YOUR CARES ON THE LORD (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY, 11 SEPTEMBER 2023
So, beloved, another great step in learning to trust the Lord with our concerns is to surrender control. One of the most challenging aspects of casting our cares on the Lord is letting go of control. We often cling to our worries, thinking that we can handle them on our own. However, true surrender means acknowledging our limitations and trusting that God is not only willing but also fully capable of taking care of us. When we release our grip on our concerns, we create space for God’s peace to fill our hearts. And the Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6,
Bottom of FormSCRIPTURE: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Surrendering control means trusting that God’s wisdom far surpasses our own. He knows the beginning from the end and sees the bigger picture. It means we no longer need to worry about our burdens and troubles because we know God is in control. When we let go and let God, we release the burdens that weigh us down, allowing God to carry them for us. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we release our grip on our concerns, we create space for God’s peace to fill our hearts.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, today, let us cast our cares on the Lord, knowing that He is always ready and willing to carry our burdens and grant us the peace that surpasses all understanding.
PRAYER: Oh Lord, as we cast all our cares on You, grant us the strength to embrace your peace, which surpasses all understanding, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May our lives be a testament to God’s faithfulness as we continually cast our cares upon Him, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
