CARRIERS OF HIS PRESENCE – HOSTING THE GLORY OF GOD (1)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Wednesday, 28 May 2025

Topic: Carriers of His Presence – Hosting the Glory of God (1)

Focus: Make Room for His Presence

Message:

God is not seeking just moments of visitation—He is seeking habitation. In a generation chasing platforms, popularity, and quick encounters, God is looking for hearts that will host Him. Like the house of Obed-Edom, where the ark of God rested, your life can become a sanctuary for His presence. This devotional series is a prophetic invitation to cultivate a life that draws, welcomes, and sustains the glory of God. It is for those who long to become dwelling places—temples of divine habitation, not occasional visitation.

📖 Key Verse:

2 Samuel 6:11 – “The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom… and the Lord blessed him.”

Devotional:

Hosting the presence of God doesn’t start with a stage—it starts with surrender. Before the ark of God brought blessing to Obed-Edom’s house, there had to be space for it. The glory of God will not rest where there is clutter, compromise, or casualness. Many want God’s power, but few prepare a place for His presence. In 2 Kings 4, the Shunammite woman made a small upper room for the prophet Elisha—a place with a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp. It was intentional. It was prepared. And because of that room, miracles happened.

📖 Scripture Reading:

2 Kings 4:10 – “Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him.”

Revelation 3:20 – “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

So, beloved, you don’t stumble into hosting God’s glory. You build space for Him—through prayer, purity, worship, and obedience. When your heart becomes an altar, His fire will rest there. This is your first call: Make room. God won’t force Himself into your life. He’s knocking—but will you open the door? Clear out distractions. Make space. Prepare a place for Him. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

The presence of God doesn’t rest by accident—it rests where there is intention and invitation.

🛡️ Responsibility:

  1. Today, take 10 intentional minutes to quiet yourself before the Lord.
  2. Remove one thing—just one—that competes with your time with Him.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, I want You to dwell in my life. Remove what clutters Your presence. Rearrange my heart, my schedule, and my space until You are central. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I am a dwelling place for the glory of God. I make room for His presence. I am not too busy—I am fully yielded! Alleluia!

📖 Bible Texts:
