Breaking Through the Barriers (4)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 3 September 2025
Topic: Breaking Through the Barriers (4)
Focus: Barriers of Delay and Discouragement
🔥 Message:
Life is full of barriers—sin, fear, doubt, generational strongholds, spiritual opposition, and even self-imposed limits. These barriers stand like walls, blocking us from the fullness of God’s promises. But we serve the Breaker—the One who goes before us, shattering walls, opening gates, and making a way where there seems to be none. So, beloved, through repentance, prayer, and faith, every barrier can fall. This devotional series will stir your faith to partner with God—the Breaker—to see obstacles removed, chains shattered, and breakthrough released in every area of your life.
📖 Key Verse:
Micah 2:13 (NIV): “The One who breaks open will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the Lord at their head.”
Devotional:
One of the hardest barriers to face is delay. When answers seem slow, discouragement creeps in, whispering, “It will never happen.” Israel experienced this in the wilderness. What should have been an 11-day journey stretched into 40 years because of unbelief and discouragement (Deuteronomy 1:2–3). Delay turned into despair, and despair cost a generation their promise. But delay is not denial. God often uses waiting seasons to strengthen your faith, deepen your trust, and prepare you for what’s ahead. Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us: “Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
📖 Scripture Reading:
Habakkuk 2:3 – “Though it linger, wait for it…”
Galatians 6:9 – “Do not grow weary… at the proper time we will reap a harvest.”
Deuteronomy 1:2–3 – The delay of Israel’s journey.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Discouragement is the enemy’s attempt to make you stop short of breakthrough. But the One who breaks open goes before you (Micah 2:13). He is working even when you don’t see it. Your waiting is not wasted—it’s preparation for sudden breakthrough. Delay is not denial—God’s timing is always perfect. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔥 Discouragement is often the last barrier before breakthrough.
🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Speak life over your waiting season. Write down one promise God has given you and declare: “I will see this come to pass in God’s time.”
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, I surrender my timelines to You. Strengthen me in the waiting, encourage me in the delay, and keep me from discouragement. I trust Your timing for my breakthrough. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I will not be discouraged! Delay is turning into destiny, and my breakthrough is on the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
📖 Bible Texts:
