BECOME THE PRIEST OF YOUR LIFE
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: FRIDAY 7 MAY 2021
Many people of God shy away from this subject matter. In their opinion a priest is one with a certain regalia and recognition. A priest of God is first, a believer and a mouthpiece of God. You are a representative of God on earth; you stand in the gap between God and people, and you have access to the power and authority of God.
Becoming the priest of your life connotes taking your place in life and destiny. Exercising the full authority tapped in the priesthood. It’s standing up for your right and taking possession of your destiny.
SCRIPTURE: And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth. (Rev 5:10) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: When we are united with Christ as members of His body, we join in His priestly work for our lives and, of reconciling God and people.
In Old Testament times, people did not approach God directly. A priest acted as intermediary between God and sinful human beings. With Christ’s victory on the cross, that pattern changed. Now we can come directly into God’s presence without fear (Hebrew 4:16), and we are given the responsibility of becoming His and bringing others to Him also (2 Corinthians 5:18-21).
Beloved, we’re not priests because of what we did, but for what Christ did for us (1 Peter 2:9). And He said, “you will do the works I have been doing, and you will do even greater things…” (John 14:12). So as a priest, stand on the Word and begin to take authority over every negative situation in your life. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: When we are united with Christ as members of His body, we join in His priestly work for our lives and, of reconciling God and people.
RESPONSIBILITY: As a priest of God, begin to exercise that authority its fullest.
PRAYER: O LORD, thank you for making a priest. Give me the grace to manifest the life of priesthood, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: I degree over your life, you shall possess your possessions in the land of the living, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
