When God Closes Every Other Door
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Sunday, 24 May 2026
Topic: When God Removes Your Backup Plan (1)
Focus: When God Closes Every Other Door
🔥Theme:
Learning to trust God when every other option disappears
📖 Key Verse:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5
Devotional:
There are seasons when it feels like every door is shutting at once. The opportunities you expected disappear. The alternatives you counted on fail. The paths you thought would work suddenly close without explanation. At first, this can feel terrifying. But many times, God closes every other door because He is drawing you into deeper trust. As long as multiple options remain, the heart can quietly depend on human security instead of divine guidance.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Exodus 14:10–16 — Israel trapped at the Red Sea
- Proverbs 3:5–6 — Trusting God fully
- Psalm 20:7 — Trusting God above human strength
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Israel faced this at the Red Sea. Behind them was Pharaoh’s army. In front of them was water. Every escape route disappeared. And that is where God moved powerfully. Sometimes God removes every other option so you can finally see that He alone is enough. Closed doors are not always rejection. Sometimes they are divine redirection into dependence. God sometimes closes doors to deepen trust in Him. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🚪 When every other door closes, God often reveals Himself more clearly.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Instead of panicking over closed doors, ask God what He is teaching you through them.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, when every other option disappears, help me trust You fully. Teach me to depend on Your wisdom, Your provision, and Your direction above everything else. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is my source and my security. Even when doors close around me, He is making a way forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
