Things God Uses That We Usually Hate (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Sunday, 8 March 2026
Topic: Things God Uses That We Usually Hate (1)
Focus: When Waiting Becomes God’s Tool
🔥Theme:
Many of the things we dislike most—waiting, failure, correction, uncertainty, even discomfort—are often the very tools God uses to shape our character and deepen our faith. God’s ways are not always comfortable, but they are always purposeful. In this series, we will explore the unexpected ways God uses difficult or unpleasant experiences to develop wisdom, humility, endurance, and trust. What we often resist may be exactly what God is using to prepare us.
📖 Key Verse:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” — Romans 8:28
Devotional:
Waiting is one of the experiences most people dislike. It feels slow, frustrating, and uncertain. Yet waiting is one of the primary ways God develops patience and trust within us. When God asks us to wait, He is not wasting time. He is often preparing us for what we have asked Him for. Waiting stretches faith and teaches us to depend on God’s timing rather than our own.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Isaiah 40:31 — Strength renewed while waiting
- Psalm 27:14 — Wait for the Lord
- Habakkuk 2:3 — The vision will come at the right time
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Many people in Scripture waited before stepping into their calling. Abraham waited for the promise of a son. Joseph waited years before his dreams were fulfilled. Even Jesus waited until the appointed time for His ministry. Waiting does not mean God has forgotten you. It means God is working in ways you cannot yet see. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
⏳ Waiting is not punishment—it is preparation.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Instead of resisting waiting, ask God what He is developing in you during this season.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me trust You while I wait. Teach me patience and strengthen my faith as I rely on Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I trust God’s timing in my life. What I am waiting for is being prepared by God, and His plans will unfold perfectly. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
