Through prayer, you can seek wisdom and discernment to understand the complexities of your mandate, make wise decisions, and navigate challenges along the way. Any wonder, the Bible teaches that if anyone lacks wisdom, they can ask God, who gives generously without finding fault (James 1:5). When we turn to God in prayer, we receive incredibly insights needed to navigate various difficulties and challenges in life.
SCRIPTURE: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” — James 1:5 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Amongst too many ways we can gain wisdom and discernment through prayer, here are the few. First is the constant meditation on the Scripture. You see, the Bible is a rich source of wisdom. Regularly reading and meditating on Scripture helps individuals internalize God’s principles and gain a deeper understanding of His ways. Again, listening to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our Counselor and Helper, He plays a crucial role in guiding us and leading us into all truth (John 16:13). So, paying attention to the promptings and convictions of the Holy Spirit is essential for discerning God’s Will. Then thirdly, seeking wise counsel. Seeking counsel from wise and godly individuals can provide valuable perspectives and insights. God can use the wisdom of others to confirm or guide us in our decision-making. For the Bible says, “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.” (Proverbs 11:14) Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Prayer is not limited to specific times; it is a continual conversation with God throughout our day and the acknowledgment of His presence in every moment of our lives.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let’s continue to ask God for the grace to pray always.
PRAYER: O LORD, deepen our prayer life and give us access to knowledge and understanding of our divine mandate on earth, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May our prayer life deepen, and may our understanding of our mandate be illuminated by the light of God’s Word as we seek Him in prayer, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
