SIN: AN ENEMY OF DESTINY

TIMES OF REFRESHING

ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka

DATE: MONDAY 18 JANUARY 2021

The rate and manner in which sin is celebrated in our generation is distressing, and as a result of that many destinies are ruined and tumble-down. Sin exposes the wretchedness and nakedness of man, (Gen 3:10). It has stripped many off their purpose and caused them to lose focus in life.

Many great men and renowned ministers of God have been relegated to the dust and shame on the account of sin. Sin ruins destiny. It corrupts the mind and wrecks the soul. But there is hope to overcome it. It is found in Christ Jesus, (Eph 1:11-14, Col. 1:27).

SCRIPTURE:

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, (1 John 1:9) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Nothing punctures destiny and renders a person’s life useless like sin.

Beloved, do you want to sustain, fulfil and accomplish your God’s given purpose on earth? You must run to Jesus, confess your sins to Him, repent from your sinful ways and turn a new leaf in life. Hear this, no matter how you want to paint and decorate sin; sin is sin. If you like baptize it and give it another name, its consequences remain intact. That is when you will see people in a “secret cult” now call it “club”, thereby perpetrating all kinds of evil and atrocities under its guise.

I can hear the Lord calling you, He says “Come now, let us settle the matter,” Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool”, (Isaiah 1:18). So, what are you waiting for? Repent TODAY and give your life to Jesus, and it shall be well with you. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS:

Nothing punctures destiny and renders a person’s life useless like sin.
