TOPIC: BECOMING A BETTER YOU (2)

Yesterday, we were able to establish that no matter how resolute a person may want to be about becoming a better person, he will never on his own alone become a better person. He needs a power outside himself. And Jesus Christ is the power! And so, building on this rare truth, we shall be looking at some of the Biblical guide to becoming a better person. And beloved, one sure way to becoming a better you, is to model your life to the life of Christ. Just as it is written in Ephesians 5:1,

SCRIPTURE: Therefore, become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; (Eph 5:1 AMP)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, how then do you model your life like Christ? Modelling your life to that of Christ’s is becoming like Christ. It’s a result of total surrender to God (Rom 12:1-2), and freedom from sin (Rom 6:11). Which entails putting off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness (Eph 4:22-24). Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked (1 John 2:6).

RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, ask God for the grace to become like Christ.

PRAYER: Oh Lord Jesus, give me the grace to be like You, in Jesus’s name, Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As you seek to be like Christ, receive the grace to be resilient until you become like Him, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
