THE REASON FOR THE SEASON (2)

Yet, another reason for the season of Christmas is keeping company with Jesus. Though it’s a season to commemorate and honor the birth of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ; however, it’s also a period to keep company with Him. It’s a time of holiday, many people stay off the usual bustling and hassling of life. It’s a time we sit and think deeply over our lives. It’s a time of genuine personal spiritual discovery and recovery. And today, Jesus is calling unto us, and He’s saying,

SCRIPTURE: “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matt 11:28-30 MSG)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, there are many great things the Lord would want to tell you concerning your life, career, academics, purpose, or your destiny. Great secrets on how you can succeed in life (Jer 33:3). So, as you take time to celebrate with your families and friends, you should also remember to make out time to reflect on the very true reason for the season, even while you keep company with Jesus. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: It’s said that association produces assimilation. So, when you spend time with Jesus, and keeping company with Him, you will surely become like Him.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, as you celebrate, make out ample time to be with Jesus, and learn to keep company with Him.

PRAYER: O LORD JESUS, give me the grace to always keep company with You, and cause me to learn from You in Jesus’ name, Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As you begin to be with Jesus, and spending time with Him, may He bless you, and keep you and yours, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
