Certainly, the joy of the Lord is a deep wellspring of strength that sustains us through life’s challenges and difficulties. But we must also note that joy is not the absence of trials, but the presence of God’s grace within them. It’s not a guarantee of trouble-less life; but, however, amid them we’re persistently joyful. The apostle Paul in Philippians 4:4 was a testament to this reality. He was in the prison, faced with numerous hardships and yet, in them all, he encouraged rejoicing in the Lord always.

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, our choice to rejoice in difficult times is an act of faith that acknowledges God’s sovereignty and His ability to turn even the darkest situations for our good. Stay Refreshed!

RESPONSIBILITY: So, let us thank God for His Word today and ask Him to help us to view challenges through the lens of His joy.
PRAYER: Oh LORD, we thank you for Your Word. We turn to You as the source of our strength. Please help us to view challenges through the lens of Your joy, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May the joy of the Lord sustain us and enable us to navigate life’s trials with grace and perseverance, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
