So, beloved, continuing with “Spiritual Growth”, obedience leads to a transformation of mindset. It’s faith in action. It shifts one’s focus from worldly concerns to eternal values. This renewed perspective is crucial for spiritual growth, as it enables us to view life through the lens of faith and purpose. Any wonder, the apostle Paul admonished us in Romans 12:2; he said,
SCRIPTURE: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” — Romans 12:2 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Obedience is the school where patience and endurance are cultivated. It’s a path to holiness and sanctification. As we strive to obey God’s commands, we are set apart and made holy, becoming vessels for God’s use. This sanctification is a vital aspect of spiritual growth and conforms to the Word of God of 1 Peter 1:15-16, which says, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.'” Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Obedience builds spiritual resilience, enabling us to withstand life’s trials and temptations.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, as we walk in obedience to God’s Word, let us ask God for the grace to also grow and mature spiritually.
PRAYER: O GOD, as we obey and follow Your commands, may we build spiritual resilience against trials and temptations, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: And may we grow spiritually, even as the Lord sustains us, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
