LEARN TO FORGIVE YOURSELF

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: FRIDAY, 26 MAY 2023

Many people are living with regrets, thinking about what they should’ve done or what they shouldn’t have done. They beat themselves so hard that it begins to hurt and affect their progress and development in life. But the truth of the matter is that regrets doesn’t solve problems. It boomerangs it and makes it worst. Regrets puts one in a deplorable state and makes him feel unfortunate. Yes, beloved, you may have made mistakes, but God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake you’ve made. So, learn to forgive yourself.

SCRIPTURE: Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. (Isaiah 61:7 NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Our God is so merciful, and His mercy shall find you. He never said we wouldn’t have unfair situations. He never promised we wouldn’t make mistakes in life. But He did promise if we would forgive ourselves and stay in faith, He would restore our joy in full, and give us a double portion for our shame. And instead of disgrace, we shall rejoice in our inheritance. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: God’s mercy does not count any wrong. It’s healing and unconditional.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, don’t let your mistake keep you from becoming what God has in store for you.

PRAYER: O LORD, thank You for Your Word. Send more of Your Word and heal me. And restore to me the joy of Your mercy, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As you forgive yourself, may the Lord honor you and give you double for your mistakes, and establish you in everlasting joy, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Isaiah 61:7
