DON’T BE DISCOURAGED WHEN SOMETHING IS RUNNING OUT
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 8 JUNE 2022
The true test of our faith does not come in abundance, neither does it come in comfort, but it comes in times when we are choked and pressed on every side. When we feel we have worked and labored yet our situation is not getting any better. When we don’t see how our business can still make it, even when we have adopted different strategies to make it work, but it keeps nosing down by the day. When we have come of age and are yet to meet the right person in marriage, and we could see the time continuously ticking out. And too many other uncomfortable circumstances applied to other persons. So, in all these, we can’t help it but to feel sour and discouraged. But Jesus is saying to you and me today in John 14:1, and He says;
SCRIPTURE: “Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me. (John 14:1 AMP)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, don’t be discouraged when something is running out. If Jesus had said to you “do not let your heart be troubled, trust in God and believe also in Me”, then He is up to something. When the people ran out of wine at the wedding at Cana (John 2:9-10), Jesus stepped in and turned water into wine. When the woman of Zarephath and the son had just a handful of meal in a jar and a little oil in a pitcher to eat and die (1 Kings 17:7-16), God sent His Word to her through Elijah and the jar of meal was not spent neither did the pitcher of oil failed.
So, don’t be afraid when things are running out in your life. If God would allow it, He has the best option for you. He will open a new business favor for you, He’s preparing a good mate for you. He will give you wealth in good health, strength, and peace like never before. And your joy will be complete. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Don’t be discouraged when something is running out, just trust in God for He has the best option for you.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, ask God for the grace to stay in peace, even in the midst of trouble, don’t let it bother you.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to stay in peace, even in the midst of trouble, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord give you peace like a river, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: John 2:9-10; 14:1, 1 Kings 17:7-16
