COMMITTED TO THE CALL (4)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Saturday, 1 February 2025
Focus: Walking in Boldness
Message: A new year is a fresh opportunity to commit wholeheartedly to God’s call and purpose for our lives. Just as Paul pressed on toward the goal, we too must run with perseverance, surrendering to God’s will and embracing the journey He has set before us.
Key Verse: Philippians 3:14 – “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Obeying God’s call requires boldness. Fear and doubt often try to paralyze us, making us feel inadequate or incapable of carrying out God’s plans. But throughout Scripture, we see that those whom God called were not always the most courageous—they became bold because they trusted in God’s power, not their own.
Joshua was commanded to be strong and courageous as he led the Israelites into the Promised Land. The disciples received boldness through the Holy Spirit to proclaim the gospel despite persecution. The same God who strengthened them will strengthen you. Walking in boldness means stepping out in faith, even when the path is uncertain.
If you wait until you feel fully ready, you will never move forward. Boldness is not the absence of fear—it is choosing to trust God in the face of fear. He has gone before you and prepared the way.
Scripture Reading:
Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
