CELEBRATE WITH OTHERS

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: TUESDAY, 28 DECEMBER 2021

The season of Christmas is a season of celebration. Celebration of joy, peace, love, care and brotherhood. It is a season we go all out to show some love and care to the people living near and around us. It’s a period, we visit the destitute, the less privileged, the sick, the prisoners, the homeless, the widows, the orphans and celebrate with them. Any wonder, the Scripture says, “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matt 25:40).

SCRIPTURE: And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.” (Matthew 10:42) BSB

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, please don’t keep all to yourself alone, share it with others. You may never know what people are going through, until you visit them. Too many people don’t have food to eat, some don’t even have clothes to wear. So, as others are celebrating, they are gnashing their teeth, clearing their throat, waiting hopelessly when the next meal will come. They live in pain and in sorrow, but you can be the hope they sought for.

You can be the source of the food they will eat. Remember the Scripture also says, “Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD, and He will repay the lender.” (Prov 19:17). Don’t say you don’t have enough to give. Give it, no matter how little it may be, it will save a dying soul. Those clothes you don’t wear again, give it out, it may be a Christmas dress for someone. Visit someone today. People are dying of loneliness; they feel no one cares for them. A visit can change their life and make them live again. So, as we celebrate, may God give us the grace to celebrate with others. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

RESPONSIBILITY: Make it a point of duty to celebrate with someone today.

PRAYER: O LORD, make me a vessel of blessings to others, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord blesses you and makes you a blessing to others, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Matthew 10:42, 25:40, Prov 19:17
