YOU’RE PRUNED FOR THE BEST (3)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 4 JUNE 2023
So, beloved, pruning is not punitive, but rather, it’s restorative and yet corrective. In simple terms; it’s not punishment, it’s training in righteousness. When God chastens the believers, He trains us in love and righteousness. Just like the apostle Paul wrote in Hebrew 12:6, and he said,
SCRIPTURE: For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives.” (Hebrew 12:6 ESV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: But then, what are God’s purposes in pruning the believers? Firstly, we need to understand that God doesn’t prune us because He’s angry at us. He prunes us because He loves us (Proverbs 3:12). Again, God prunes us so that we can regain our spiritual vitality and bear more fruits (John 15:2). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: God does not prune us because He is angry at us, He prunes us so that we can regain our spiritual vitality and bear more fruits.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, ask God to prune your life. Even though the process isn’t comfortable, but after the hard part is over, you will surely see some amazing results.
PRAYER: O LORD, prune my life. Trim and remold me, remove anything that does not look like You in my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As the Lord prunes you, may you regain your spiritual vitality and be productive again in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
