YOUR FLAW IS NEVER A LIMITATION
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: TUESDAY 15 JUNE 2021
Every one of us has unique flaws, faults and weaknesses, even things that we would consider to be a limitation. We bite ourselves so hard and often let those flaws be excuses to settle for mediocrity. But the good news is that God’s power is made perfect in our weakness, and what we consider a flaw is never a limitation.
SCRIPTURE: But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness…” (2 Corinthians 12:9) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Don’t let that flaw be an excuse to settle where you are. God doesn’t make any mistakes. Your size, your personality is never by accident. So, don’t be against yourself; instead, start accepting and approving yourself. So often, what we think is our greatest liability, really, it’s our greatest asset.
In Luke 19:1-10, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was very short, and because of it, felt he is at disadvantage. While other people could reach up on a shelf and grab something, he’d have to get a ladder. One day, he heard that Jesus was coming through his town. He rushed out to the main road, but it was already packed with people, he could barely see through. So, he had to climb a tree trying to catch a glimpse of Jesus. When Jesus came through, thousands of people were calling His name, trying to get His attention, but out of all those Jesus looked up in the tree and said, “Zacchaeus, come on down. I will have dinner with you today”.
So Beloved, you see what Zacchaeus thought was his greatest liability turned out to be his greatest asset and opportunity. Though he was too short, but he never allowed it to be a limitation to his destiny. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: Don’t let that flaw be an excuse to settle where you are.
RESPONSIBILITY: Don’t let that flaw, weakness be a limitation, always see through the grace of God.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to overcome every flaw, weakness in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May the grace of God be made perfect in your life always, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
