So, having established that how healthy our spiritual life is, would determine the health and wealth of our life, our businesses and careers. Now, let us explore biblical proven ways we can make a spiritual investment in our lives.
SCRIPTURE: But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. (Matthew 6:20) BSB
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: One sure way we sustain grace and spiritual depth to attend to the most pressing issues of life and come out proudly, strongly and victoriously is by engaging in an insistent, continuous and determined dwelling in the presence of God (Ps 91:1-2). For there is no greater spiritual reward than being refilled and refreshed by God’s presence. David understood this and declared in Psalm 84:10, “For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.”
Again, investment of any kind involves value, and it’s transactional in nature. It is a two-way deal, but it’s first paid for, before it is received. Pay your time to study the Scripture and other relevant materials that would aid in your spiritual development (Josh 1:8). Engage in radical witnessing (Mk 16:15), sowing your time, energy and resources for the life of others for the sake of their souls. Take strong part in supporting the work of God (Col 3:23-24), encourage the ministry of the men of God (1 Tim 5:17), whom God has put over your life to administer to your spiritual needs. But remember, the measure and the value you invest in, that you shall receive (Lk 6:38). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we engage in spiritual investment, it disengages us from every unfavorable and difficult issues of life.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, you must make sustainable efforts to invest in your spiritual life and well-being of your soul.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to invest effectively in my spiritual life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace to invest in your spiritual life, even as you take the things of the spirit so seriously, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
