TRUSTING IN GOD’S PROVISION (1)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 1 MAY 2024
We live in a world filled with uncertainties, worries, and needs; it’s comforting to know that we serve a God who provides for us abundantly. Yet, despite this assurance, we often find ourselves fretting over our circumstances, doubting whether God will truly come through for us. So, in this devotional series, we shall delve into the truth of God’s provision and how we can learn to trust in it fully.
SCRIPTURE: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” – Matthew 6:26 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, trusting in God’s provision requires surrendering our fears and anxieties and choosing to place our faith in Him. It means acknowledging that God is our ultimate provider, regardless of our circumstances. It’s about shifting our focus from our own abilities to God’s unfailing promises. Think about the birds of the air. They don’t toil or fret over their next meal, yet God ensures they are fed. How much more does He care for us, His beloved children? Stay Refreshed and Happy New Month!
NOTE THIS: Trusting in God’s provision is often easier said than done. In a world filled with uncertainty, it’s natural to worry about our needs being met. Yet, time and again, scripture reminds us of God’s faithfulness and His promise to provide for His children.
RESPONSIBILITY: As you reflect on God’s faithful provision, let it deepen your trust in Him. Let it remind you that God is always with you, working behind the scenes for your good. No matter what challenges you may face, rest assured that God will provide everything you need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness and provision in our lives. Help us to trust in Your goodness, even when our circumstances seem uncertain. Give us the faith to believe that You will always provide for our needs according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: In the journey of trusting in God’s provision, may we find strength, peace, and a deeper intimacy with the God who cares for us more than we can imagine. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
