THE REVIVAL ROOM: MAKING SPACE FOR GOD TO MOVE (1)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Wednesday, 9 April 2025

Topic: The Revival Room: Making Space for God to Move (1)

Focus: Room for the Holy

Message:

Revival doesn’t start in crowds—it starts in hearts that make room. Learn to prepare your life to host a move of God.

Key Verse: 📖 2 Kings 4:10 – “Let’s make a small room… and put in it a bed, a table…”

Devotional:

Revival doesn’t happen by accident. It doesn’t fall randomly or rest on every crowd. It comes where space has been made. In 2 Kings 4:10, the Shunammite woman didn’t wait for a miracle—she prepared a room. She made physical space for the prophet Elisha, and in doing so, she welcomed divine presence, power, and provision into her life. In the same way, we must intentionally make spiritual room for God to move. That means clearing out distractions, letting go of sin, silencing the noise, and pushing aside everything that competes with His presence.

📖 Scripture Reading:

2 Kings 4:10“Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there whenever he comes to us.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

God does not fill what is already full. He fills what is empty, yielded, and available.

Many are praying for revival but refusing to make room for it. Revival doesn’t begin on stages or in conferences—it begins in the hearts of men and women who say, “Lord, there’s room in me. Come and take over.” So, beloved, take a look at your schedule, your attention, your heart—what is taking up the space that belongs to God? It’s time to declutter. Make room for worship, for stillness, for the Word. Revival doesn’t visit crowded rooms—it inhabits available hearts. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

Revival begins where room is made.

🛡️ Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and lay down three things that have taken space from your spiritual life.
  2. Invite the Holy Spirit into those areas—“This space is Yours now, Lord.”

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, I make space for You. Not just in my words, but in my time, my thoughts, and my desires. Clear out what clutters me. Rearrange what distracts me. Take Your place at the center. I want to be a dwelling place for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I am a revival room. God has space in me. I make room for the holy, and heaven responds! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

📖 Bible Texts:

2 Kings 4:10
