THE POWER OF SPOKEN BLESSINGS
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY 17 MAY 2021
Yesterday, it was established that spoken blessings are powerful and they have the ability to set the direction for our lives. When they’re spoken over us, they can determine our destiny. We also saw that the reason some people aren’t reaching their potential, is they’ve never had the blessings spoken over them. So, today we shall be looking at the power and efficacy of a spoken blessing.
SCRIPTURE: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Eph 1:3) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The spoken blessing is more powerful and effective than any force that’s trying to hold us back.
When it’s spoken over a person, it’s not cancelled out over a period of time. That’s to say its efficacy is not time bound. Isaiah declared word of favor, freedom, victory in Isaiah 61:1-3; hundreds of years later, Jesus was in the synagogue in Nazareth in Luke 4:18, He picked up a scroll that had the same words of Isaiah and read it to the people. “The spirit of the Lord is upon me to declare the year of God’s favor”. And Jesus pronounced the fulfilment of the words.
Beloved, even though the words of Isaiah were written on a scroll, but Jesus knew the power of spoken blessings, He knew we have to hear favor and victory spoken over us for it to come to pass. And whenever the word of blessing is spoken over the people, only those that would let it take root in their lives, would receive it, and would see it come to pass. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: The spoken blessing is more powerful and efficacious than any force that’s trying to hold us back.
RESPONSIBILITY: As the words of blessings are spoken over you, let it take root in your life, so that it shall come to pass.
PRAYER: O LORD, let your Word take root in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God bless you and cause His face to shine on you, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
BIBLE TEXTS: Eph 1:3, Isaiah 61:1-2, Luke 4:18
