THE POWER OF PERSISTENT PRAYER (3)

TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: TUESDAY, 30 APRIL 2024

So, in the spiritual battle of life, persistent prayer is our most potent weapon. It demolishes strongholds and dismantles arguments, defeats darkness, and ushers in God’s kingdom on earth (Eph. 6:18). It is not just about repeating words; it’s about believing in the power of the One to whom we pray. In essence, faith is the key. Faith fuels persistence and unlocks the miraculous.

SCRIPTURE: “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, beloved, prayer sustains in trials. In times of trial and adversity, persistent prayer provides strength, comfort, and hope, reminding us that we are never alone, and God is always with us. Pray and speak God’s promises boldly and prophetically over your life and circumstances. Even when you feel weary or discouraged, keep pressing on in prayer. Your breakthrough may be just around the corner. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Persistent prayer is not a display of desperation but an expression of faith. It is a steadfast commitment to seeking God’s will and trusting in His timing, even when the answers seem delayed.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, instead of allowing fear or desperation to drive your prayers, anchor them in faith. Let your prayers be an expression of trust in His ability to intervene in your life, knowing that He cares deeply for you and is always working for your good.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, in the midst of life’s uncertainties and challenges, I come before You with a heart filled with gratitude and trust. Help me, to anchor my prayers in faith rather than allowing fear or desperation to dictate my words. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord strengthen your faith, that you may boldly approach His throne of grace, knowing that He would hear and answer your prayers. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
