THE POWER OF CHRIST IN ME: LIVING A TRANSFORMED LIFE (1)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SATURDAY, 14 SEPTEMBER 2024
Beloved, when we come to Christ, something profound and supernatural takes place: our old selves, with their desires, weaknesses, and burdens, are crucified with Him. The life we once lived—defined by self-effort, fear, and sin—is now over. In its place, we receive the life of Christ. His power begins to work in us, transforming us from the inside out.
SCRIPTURE: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: This transformation is not just a surface change or an act of willpower. It’s a complete renewal. As the Spirit of God moves within us, we begin to desire the things of God. What once seemed impossible—to forgive, to love selflessly, to live with peace in the face of challenges—now becomes not only possible but natural, because Christ’s power is at work in us. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The power of Christ in us gives us the strength to live differently.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, you don’t have to rely on your own strength, but in Christ.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your life in me. Help me to live each day surrendered to Your will, allowing Your power to transform me from the inside out. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: May God give us strength when we are weak, courage when we are afraid, and love when it’s difficult to love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
BIBLE TEXTS: Galatians 2:20
