THE GIFT OF SALVATION (3)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: FRIDAY, 29 DECEMBER 2023
So, at Christmas, we are invited to witness the birth of the Savior and experience the joy of salvation. Yes, it’s true. Just like the shepherds who received the angelic proclamation on that starlit night. They were invited to witness the birth of the Savior and experience the joy of salvation firsthand. Similarly, each one of us is invited to partake in this joyous gift, not as mere spectators but as recipients of God’s unmerited favor.
SCRIPTURE: “When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” — Matthew 2:10-11 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Therefore, beloved, as we merry and exchange presents with loved ones, let us remember the gift that surpasses all others—the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is a present that keeps on giving, providing hope, purpose, and eternal life. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The gift of salvation is a treasure beyond measure, a priceless present freely given by God’s grace. It’s inclusive, offered to everyone and welcoming all into God’s redemptive embrace.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, let the gift of salvation resonate in our hearts. Let it prompt us to reflect on our own journey, appreciating the transformation that occurs when we accept Christ as Lord and Savior.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the unmatched gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. As we celebrate His birth, may our heart be continually filled with awe and wonder of Your love, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: And may the Lord help us to live in a way that honors Him, expressing our gratitude through acts of kindness, love, and obedience, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Matthew 2:10-11, Act 4:12, Eph 2:8-9
