STOP RUNNING AWAY FROM YOUR PURPOSE (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 13 JULY 2022
Too many people miss their destiny while running away from their purpose. They take the easy way out, thinking it’s the best option. But I tell you, beloved, running away from your fear will never take it away. No matter how long you ignore it, it’s not going to disappear. Even your excuses won’t take it away. It will remain there until you face it and conquer it.
SCRIPTURE: For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: It could be a simple decision in life—on what to do, or what not to do. It may be so hard on you, but you need to face it. Don’t keep putting it off. Recall in Judges 6, Gideon was faced with similar decisions, but Gideon stopped running. He faced his fears, confronted his insecurity, he became one of the heroes of faith. Again, in 1 Samuel 17, David faced and killed the Philistine giant. David has the option of running away, after all the soldiers had run away. But he understood this principle, He knew if he didn’t confront the giant, if he didn’t face his fears, he would miss his destiny.
So, dear friend in Christ, I don’t know what is frightening you from achieving your purpose in life? But whatever it may be, I counsel you, refuse to take the easy way out. Don’t run away from your purpose. You can’t become all you were created to be running, but you become all you were created to be confronting what’s hindering you. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Running away from your fear will never take it away. And no matter how long you ignore it, it’s not going to disappear.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, be intentional about it, get honest with yourself, and ask God for the grace for boldness to confront your fears and never run away from your purpose.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace for boldness to confront my fears, and never to run away from my purpose, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God go before you and make every crooked place in your life straight, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
