STANDING FIRM IN THE STORMS (4)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 28 JANUARY 2024
So, beloved, in conclusion, standing firm in the storms of life is not merely a display of our own strength or resilience, but a testament to the unwavering faithfulness of our God. It’s a declaration of trust in God’s promises, a surrender to His will, and a recognition of His sovereign power over every circumstance.
SCRIPTURE: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” — Isaiah 43:2 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: As we navigate the winds and waves of adversity, may we anchor our souls in the unchanging truth of God’s Word and find refuge in His presence. Let us remember that our faith is not tested in the calm seas but in the raging storms, where we have the opportunity to witness the miraculous work of God and experience His sustaining grace. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Ultimately, standing firm in the storms is not about avoiding difficulties but about facing them with confidence in Christ, who has already secured our victory.
RESPONSIBILITY: So dearly beloved, let us surrender our fears and anxieties to God and ask Him to grant us His presence and peace, even in the midst of the storms and difficulties.
PRAYER: Gracious God, You are the God of peace. We surrender our anxieties to You, knowing that You are the one who speaks peace to the turbulent waters. Fill us with Your peace that transcends the circumstances of life. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and minds, even in the most difficult storms of life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Isaiah 41:10; 43:2
