The problem of the world is not war, it is not the pandemic nor crisis, but we are (ignorantly) the problem. We have significantly reduced the person of God to a mere object of necessity, which we seek only when we are in dire need. No wonder we pray, but no answer, we work and faint, we kick, we struggle, all to no avail. This is because we resolve to seek the hand of God instead of His face. We tend to seek for what we will get from Him and not who He is. But today, we are encouraged to seek God’s face and not His hand.

SCRIPTURE: Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always. (Psalm 105:4 BSB)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Seeking the hands of God is seeking for what we will get from Him, but the Kingdom of God is not about us simply trying to get what we want. Instead, it’s about seeking a relationship with God and experiencing the true Kingdom benefits. It’s about having a greater understanding of His righteousness (our right standing with Him through Jesus Christ), His peace and His joy in our lives. And until we begin to seek God’s face and not His hand, only then will we find what we are truly looking for (Jer 29:13). Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: The desires and the secret petitions of our heart are established only when we begin to seek God’s face and not His hand.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, be deliberate to seek the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, and not just what it can offer.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to seek Your face always, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: As you seek the face of God, may you find Him, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
