SALVATION: A TOTAL PACKAGE
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: THURSDAY, 19 AUGUST 2021
Mankind has insistently in ignorance continued to struggle and chase shadows in life, while a gracefully sought for, divinely parceled, and delivered gift from God is always available for us. It won’t be out of place to ask, “who has done this to us?” We seek for help where it does not exist; we could do all manner of things, exert our energy unnecessarily all to make ends meet in life, yet the struggle continues. This is a serious matter, and it seems so unless something is done about it. Salvation is the solution.
SCRIPTURE: … Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:30-31) BSB
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: If a person has achieved every other thing in life without his salvation, he has achieved nothing.
Salvation is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences, which include death and separation from God, by Christ’s death and resurrection, and the justification thereof. Salvation is not from ourselves or anything we’ve done, but is a free gift of grace from God. When a person accepts the gift of salvation, he or she is said to be justified — made acceptable before (or made right with) God. Every great gift one can think of is contained and wrapped inside the salvation package.
Some of the gifts include; the promise of new life, (2 Cor 5:17), deliverance (Ps 91), redemption (Eph 1:7), restoration (Lk 19:8), reconciliation, divine healing, social and financial prosperity in every area of our lives, (3 John1:2 Psalm 35:27). However, to enjoy these gifts and have access to the total package, one must be born again, give his or her life to Jesus. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: If a person has achieved every other thing in life without his salvation, he has achieved nothing.
RESPONSIBILITY: Are you a born again? If no, make efforts to surrender your life to Jesus today.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life. Cause me to hunger for You more and more, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you remain in Christ, may He deliver you from every danger, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Acts 16:30-31, 2 Cor 5:17
