Previously, it was established that the closer you are to God, the more of God you become. And we also saw that out of a place of quiet communion with God, flows great passion, experience and power that will impact and change one’s life forever.

Now let us look at the necessary steps to greater and continuing intimacy with God.

SCRIPTURE:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1) NKJV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

The most important part of intimacy with God is not the result it produces, but the connection it creates.

Some Christians intertwined religious activities with intimacy with God. They live in church, but have no relationship with God. This is an error, and it must stop!

STEPS TO GREATER AND CONTINUING INTIMACY WITH GOD

1.    Embrace God in a lonely place, forsake distractions and the things of the world (John 14:15).

2.    Immerse yourself in the Word. Follow the lead of Jesus and believe every word He says (John 5:30).

3.    Wait on Him, immerse yourself in intimate worship of God.

4.    Spend copious time with God, be honest with Him, ask the hard questions, and reflectively listen to Him.

Beloved, you must dispose yourself before God. It is not the amount of time you spent that determines intimacy; it is disposition alone.

NOTE THIS:

The most important part of intimacy with God is not the result it produces, but the connection it creates.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Make out time daily to be with God alone.

PRAYER:

O LORD, give me the grace to always dwell in your presence, in Jesus’ name Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD:

May God answer you and cause His face shine upon you, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

BIBLE TEXTS: Psalm 91:1
