PRODUCE FRUITS IN KEEPING WITH REPENTANCE
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SATURDAY, 5 MARCH 2022
Just as a fruit tree is expected to bear fruit, God’s people should produce a crop of good deeds. God has no use for people who call themselves Christians, but they live otherwise. They are not different from others. So, as we keep in repentance, let us also produce good fruits.
SCRIPTURE: …Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 3:10) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, from our anchor Scripture, God calls us to be active in our obedience (James 1:22). John the Baptist compared people who claim they believe in God, but don’t live for God, to unproductive tree that will be cut down. So, to be productive for God, we must obey His teachings (John 14:23), avoid sin and its occasions (Ps 119:11), resist temptation (Eph 6:10-11), actively serve and help others, and let them see our faith in the way we treat them (Heb 6:10). But again, the question is, how productive are you for God? Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: A Christian who does not produce good fruits is likened to an unproductive tree that will be cut down.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, make efforts as you live out the Christian life, produce good fruits, be kind to others and let them see Christ through you.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life. Give me the grace to be a productive Christian, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God help you and give you the grace to live a true productive life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Matt 3:8-10, James 1:22, Ps 119:11
