O LORD, HELP MY LIFE (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: TUESDAY, 8 NOVEMBER 2022
So, one other factor that short-circuits our help from God, and cuts off our access to the throne of grace is sin. Sin rumples a man’s life and destroys his destiny (Gen 6:7). It is a function of rising and falling. It thwarts the purpose of God in a person’s life, and yet brings a reproach and shame unto him (Gen 3:10). Again, sin nullifies goodwill. That’s why you see a people praying but it seems heaven is silent. It does not mean God is deaf, but it only resonates to the Word of God in Isaiah 59:1-3, it says,
SCRIPTURE: Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save,
nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated
you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-3 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Whenever the message of sin is preached, the people would regard it as old fashioned. But the truth of the matter is, sin has wrecked too many destinies, and as old as it may seem, it is still smashing fortunes (Ezek 21:31). So, it is high time we looked into our lives, learn to mend our ways and ask God to help us. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Living in sin deprives a person the one thing that matters so much to him. He might think all is well, but in the realm of the spirit, his destiny is cuffed.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, run to God in prayers, confess your sins to Him and ask Him to help your life.
PRAYER: O LORD, please forgive my sins, and help my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord forgive your sins, and help your life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Isaiah 59:1-3, Gen 3:10, Ezek 21:31
