Focus: Overcoming Fear and Excuses
Message: Many people delay walking in their purpose due to fear, uncertainty, or feelings of inadequacy. But God’s calling on your life is not for the future—it is for now. It’s time to step forward in faith and obedience, knowing that He has already prepared the way.
Key Verse: Psalm 37:23 – “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.”
Fear is one of the greatest barriers to stepping into your calling. Many people wait for the perfect moment, the perfect skills, or the perfect circumstances before they say yes to God. But if you wait until you feel ready, you may never move.
Gideon felt unqualified for the task God gave him. He said, “My clan is the weakest… and I am the least in my family” (Judges 6:15). But God didn’t see Gideon as weak—He saw him as a mighty warrior. Likewise, God sees you not as you are now but as who He has called you to be.
Excuses will always exist. “I’m too young.” “I’m too old.” “I don’t have the right skills.” But God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called. Your calling is not about your strength—it’s about your obedience. When Peter stepped out of the boat onto the water, he didn’t wait for the waves to calm down first. He stepped out in faith.
God is calling you to take that step of faith today. Don’t let fear or excuses keep you stuck in delay. The time is now.
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, identify the fears or excuses that have held you back from fully stepping into your calling. Surrender them to God and ask Him for boldness. Stay Refreshed!
Note This:
Fear is not a reason to delay. Obedience is greater than fear, and God strengthens those who step out in faith.

Prayer:
O Lord, I surrender every fear and excuse that has kept me from moving forward. Give me the courage to trust You and take bold steps of faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
