One of the greatest gifts God has given us is the power to choose. In fact, every day we are faced with literally hundreds of choices. But the question is, are we making the right ones? So, in this series, we shall be looking at steps that we can take to make the right choice or decision in our lives.
SCRIPTURE: Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Just because something might sound good, feel good, and look like the right thing to do, it doesn’t mean it’s God’s best for you or necessarily the right direction to take. So, beloved one of the steps you must take to make the right choice or decision in your life is to ‘find wisdom in God’s Word’.
The Word of God is the instruction manual for our daily lives. It is filled with God’s wisdom, and truths to instruct us in every area. In it, we can find help for our behavior and our relationships with God and others. We can learn how to grow spiritually, to discern right from wrong, and so much more. So, when we read and study the Bible, we’re not just reading a good book; we are actually spending time with God and also gaining wisdom to make the right choice in life. We shall continue with other steps tomorrow, but until then, stay refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The more we read, study, and fill our minds with God’s Word, the more closely informed we become with God and the easier it becomes to discern wisdom we need to make the right choice.
RESPONSIBILITY: Consciously make efforts to study the Bible daily and always, for in it you will find the wisdom to make great and right choices in life.
PRAYER: O LORD, teach me how to study Your Word, and give me the grace to learn from it, the wisdom to make right choices in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
