LIVING OUT YOUR DESTINY
TIMES OF REFRESHING
ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka
DATE: WEDNESDAY 9 SEPTEMBER 2020
It is one thing to discover your destiny, and another to live it out. Many Christians are confused when it comes to the issue of destiny. Some see destiny as anything one does, they don’t care, as long as it could put food on their table.
Your destiny is your true vocation. It is the tailored life-calling God has ordained and equipped you to accomplish in order to bring Him the glory, and achieve the maximum expansion of His kingdom.
The reason many jump from one business to another, from one career to another is unable to discover and live out their purpose and vocation in life. Now, the question is, what does God want you to do with your life? Are you doing it?
SCRIPTURE:
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5) KJV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Confusion and frustration are function of a failed destiny.
People confuse Purpose with Activities. While it’s admirable to be busy working for God, make sure that you’re seeking God’s will for your work rather than just jumping into activities that seem to be worthwhile.
Too often, people spend their time and energy on activities that are good but don’t reflect God’s purposes for their lives. Not every job, business, career is meant for you.
Reflect on why it’s important to start living out your destiny.
Living out your destiny will give you better fulfillment, direction, stability, significance, identity, and provision in your life.
Beloved, don’t settle for less than the best God has for you, which is to find and fulfill your destiny every day that you live.
NOTE THIS:
Confusion and frustration are function of a failed destiny.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Decide to seek God’s guidance for your life every day.
PRAYER:
O LORD, open my eyes to discover and live out my destiny, in Jesus’ name Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
Receive the grace to be steadfast, even as you live out your destiny, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
BIBLE TEXTS: Jeremiah 1:5, Proverbs 19:21
