LIVING FOR A REASON (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 3 AUGUST 2022
Living for a reason is not about doing what you do for what you will get out of it. It’s all about being cause driven and being committed to the cause. It’s having a strong will, and a resolute desire to solve the problem of the people. It involves giving your time, energy, and resources to care for the hurting, to lift those that are underprivileged and bring their dreams to pass. Any wonder God would say in Matthew 25:40,
SCRIPTURE: ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:40 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The truth is, there is a version of God’s greatness and unlimited abundance that is available and accessible to only those who are living for a reason. The reason is, they would pick up a cause and engaged in the mission of carrying it out to the latter. They will stop at nothing until they accomplish their mission. They are selfless about it, and totally committed to it. When they wake up in the morning all they think is, “what can I do to better the life of others”. Their prayers are, “Lord, take me to where I’ll be a help to the humanity”. They understand the saying that, ”the next level of a man’s destiny is connected to helping someone else.”
So, beloved, I counsel you and encourage you, seek to live for a reason, and be selfless about it. Don’t fake it, don’t do it for the applaud of men, but be realistic about it. And you will see favor in new ways. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: There is a version of God’s greatness and unlimited abundance that is available and accessible to only those who are living for a reason.
RESPONSIBILITY: Look around at how you can be a blessing in your neighborhood, in your local church and community. And actively engage in them.
PRAYER: O LORD, make me a positive force in my generation, and cause me to live for a reason, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you learn to live for others, may God lift you above your equals, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Matthew 25:40
