LIVING ABOVE CRITICISM
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 21 JULY 2021
In life, there will always be people that try to squeeze you into their mold, they will always find fault in what you do. No matter how good you’re in what you do, as long as it wasn’t their idea, they will criticize it. And anytime you boldly take charge of your own affair, they will be mad at you. But I tell you, you don’t allow people to rule your life, you’re better off without them. Don’t let it change you. As long as you’re doing the right thing, you don’t need their approval, you have God’s approval.
SCRIPTURE: Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. (Proverbs 4:27) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Everyone has an opinion, and if you try to please every person, the one person that will not be happy is you.
The reason some people are not at joy in their life is that they’ve failed to live above criticism. They have always wanted to please everyone. They make one decision today, tomorrow they’d change it, trying to play up to people to win their favor, not knowing they can’t keep every person happy. If you change with every criticism, then you’ll go through life being manipulated, letting people squeeze you into their box.
So Beloved know it that, you can’t make everyone like you, you’ll never win over all of your critics. They’re out to pressure you until you begin to dance to their tune. Even if you changed and did exactly what they ask, they would still find fault, and you’re not really free until you begin to live above criticism. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: Everyone has an opinion, and if you try to please every person, the one person that will not be happy is you.
RESPONSIBILITY: Do not be swayed to the left or to the right, remain focused in your life’s pursuit.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life. Give me the grace to live above criticism, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace to stay put and on course in your life’s pursuit, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
