LIFE WITHOUT CHRIST IS A CRISIS (5)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 9 AUGUST 2023
So, beloved, in the absence of Christ, our hearts are like parched land, desperately longing for the water of life. We may try to quench our spiritual thirst with temporary pleasures, but they leave us thirstier than before. However, when we receive Christ, He becomes the wellspring of living water within us, satisfying our deepest longings and sustaining us through every season of life (John 4:14). King David understood this principle and he declared in Psalm 63:1,
Bottom of FormSCRIPTURE: You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek You; I thirst for You, my whole being longs for You, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. (Psalm 63:1 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Moreover, life without Christ is marked by uncertainty and fear. The world offers little assurance, and the pursuit of success and material possessions often leaves us feeling empty and unfulfilled. But with Christ, we find security in the unchanging love of God. We can rest in the knowledge that He holds our future in His hands and that nothing can separate us from His love. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Life without Christ is marked by uncertainty and fear. But with Christ, we find security in the unchanging love of God.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, dearly beloved, let’s come to Jesus today and He would become the wellspring of living water for us.
PRAYER: O GOD, thank you for showing to us that life without Christ is a crisis. Today, we surrender our life to You, may You quench our longing soul, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you come to Jesus Christ today and surrender your life to Him, may you find satisfaction in Him and the grace to sustain you through every season of life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
