GOD WILL REMEMBER YOU

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: SUNDAY, 2 JANUARY 2022

Beloved, the last time it looked like you were forsaken and abandoned would be the last in your life. For God has remembered you. It does not matter who has abandoned you, nor what was not working well in your life, but what matters is that in this new year 2022, God will remember you and He will wipe away tears from your eyes.

SCRIPTURE: Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: In 2 Samuel 9, there’s the story about a little boy named Mephibosheth. He was the grandson of King Saul and the son of Jonathan. Mephibosheth was born into royalty, and he was destined to one day take the throne. But life didn’t turn out the way he thought; his father and grandfather were killed on the same day in a battle. When the news came in, the maid that took care of Mephibosheth grabbed him, took off running out of the house trying to hide him from the enemies that were coming. But she was tripped on the steps, she fell on the ground, Mephibosheth was smashed on the floor and both of his legs were broken. He became permanently crippled; he could no longer walk.

But suddenly God remembered him. So, many years later, King David was ruminating about how much he loved his good friend Jonathan. He asked his men if any of Jonathan’s relatives were still alive. They said, “Yes, his son is, but he’s crippled living in the slums”. David said, “Go, find him and bring him to me”. They found Mephibosheth, cleaned him up, put new clothes on him, and brought him before David. He was afraid, but David said to him, “Mephibosheth, don’t worry, from now on you’re going to live in the palace with me. Every night you’re going to eat dinner at my table. And I will return to you all the land that belonged to your father and your grandfather”.

So beloved, as God remembered Mephibosheth and honored him, God will remember you and honor you. And everything you have lost in the past; God will restore it to you in million folds, Amen! Stay Lifted!
