EMBRACING SALVATION: A NEW LIFE IN CHRIST (3)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 16 JULY 2023
Again beloved, salvation is a remarkable act of God’s grace and mercy. It is God’s way of showing us that, despite our flaws and failures, He loves us unconditionally. To receive this incredible gift, we must first acknowledge our need for salvation. And recognize that we have made mistakes and fallen short of God’s perfect standards. These mistakes separate us from God and hinder us from experiencing the fullness of life that He desires for us. No wonder the apostle Paul encouraged us in Hebrew 4:16; he said,
SCRIPTURE: Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrew 4:16 NIV).
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Through Jesus, God provided a path for us to be reconciled with Him and to experience a life filled with purpose and joy. So, when we believe in Jesus and invite Him into our lives, something remarkable happens. Our sins are forgiven, and we are made new. We no longer bear the heavy burden of guilt and shame. Instead, we receive God’s grace, which washes away our sins and grants us a fresh start in life. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Embracing salvation is not a philosophy nor hypothesis, it’s action and so practical. It’s accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and savior and surrendering our lives to Him.
RESPONSIBILITY: However, it begins with making the BIG decision—coming to Christ today and surrender our lives to Him.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible gift of salvation through Your Son and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Help us to grasp the depth of Your love and the transformative power of salvation in our lives, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you embrace salvation, may your life never remain the same, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Hebrew 4:16
