DON’T STAY WORRIED
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY 25 APRIL 2021
It’s easy to live worried whenever things are not going the way we planned. “For no reason, you are sacked from your job, your rent is due, but no money to renew it; your relationship is not working, you are yet to get the right partner, your business is down and trouble everywhere”.
You have prayed and fasted, but it seems the more you pray, the worse it gets. And you’re beginning to lose it. But I encourage you, cheer up, don’t stay worried, it will surely end. For the Scripture says…our present troubles are small and won’t last very long.
SCRIPTURE: For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them…(2 Corinthians 4:17) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The true faith of every believer is tested in the time of trouble.
In Job 1:1-2:13; Job went through great difficulty; though he was doing the right thing, honoring God, and the unthinkable happened. He lost everything. He had sore boils all over his body. He was in pain, yet he never lost his faith and trust in God.
Beloved I tell you, just because we’re people of faith doesn’t mean we won’t have difficulties. You can be doing the right thing and come into trouble. Just like Job, we’re encouraged not to lose faith. For the things we see now will soon be gone, (2 Cor 4:18). Always believe every trouble won’t last. For what you believe in times of trouble will determine whether you stay in that trouble, or you come of it. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: The true faith of every believer is tested in the time of trouble.
RESPONSIBILITY: Don’t lose faith. Always trust in God, no matter how hopeless.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life, for You are my Help in times of trouble, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God hear and answer you in times of trouble, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
BIBLE TEXTS: 2 Cor. 4:17-18, Job 1:1-2:13
