DON’T DISCOUNT YOUR GIFT

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: THURSDAY, 29 JULY 2021

Sometimes we shy away from taking the responsibility of maximizing our God’s given potentials thinking it’s reserved to a certain set of people. We think ours is just to make do with whatever comes our way, as obedient people, but we can’t let whatever the reason may be to make us discount our gifts anymore. Yes, we’re covenant children of God, we have the fingerprints of God all over us, so we move to overcome mediocrity and begin to exploit our gifts.

SCRIPTURE: A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before the great. (Proverbs 18:16) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: It would be a colossal tragedy and monumental failure for one to live and die without making the most use of his gift. Beloved you don’t have to have a great gift, for God to use you in a great way. You know what took David to the throne? It wasn’t his music ability, nor his personality, but was his gift of slinging a stone. He was good with a slingshot.

So, what’s your gift? Have you identified it? Why not develop it, learn and get better with it. Just like David, it’s your own slingshot; it may seem ordinary, but when God breathes on it, the gift will open doors to places you’ve never dreamed, and you’ll defeat a giant twice your size. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: It would be a colossal tragedy and monumental failure for one to live and die without making the most use of his gift.

RESPONSIBILITY: Be faithful with the gifts you have, grow and develop it.

PRAYER: O LORD, thank You for Your gift. Cause it to make a way for me, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: May your gift speak for you, and may God cause unusual celebration in your life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Proverbs 18:16
