COURAGE IN THE FACE OF FEAR (5)

So, finally beloved, if we must be courageous enough to face our fears and overcome them, then we must learn to engage and rewire our thought patterns. Replace negative thoughts. And the safest approach to achieve this feat is to be proactive. Whenever negative or fearful thoughts creep into our mind, we must consciously replace them with positive affirmations and thoughts of empowerment. Just as the apostle Paul encouraged us in Phill 4:8; he said,
Bottom of FormSCRIPTURE: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” — Philippians 4:8 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: However, as we meditate on these words of the verse and incorporate them into our daily lives, let us also practice self-compassion in the process.
Being gentle with ourselves, and treat ourselves with kindness, love and understanding. Replacing fear with good thoughts and God’s perfect love, (1 John 4:18). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Shifting our minds and focus to purposeful and healthy thoughts has a way of crippling fears and negativity.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, let us pray for God’s guidance and strength to transform our minds and thoughts.
PRAYER: O GOD, as we meditate on Your Word and seek to align our thoughts with Your truth, grant us the grace to let go of fears, doubts, and worries, and to replace them with thoughts of love, joy, and peace, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord fill us with His wisdom and discernment, so we can recognize when negative thoughts arise and replace them with thoughts that are pleasing to Him, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
