BURNING ALTARS: A LIFESTYLE OF DEEP PRAYER AND INTIMACY (6)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Monday, 10 March 2025
Focus: Sustaining the Fire
Many believers experience temporary revival but struggle to maintain a lifestyle of deep prayer. Prayer is not an event—it is a lifestyle. If we are to carry God’s fire, we must sustain it daily. Daniel prayed three times a day, no matter what (Daniel 6:10). Jesus often withdrew to pray alone and remained in constant communion with the Father (Luke 5:16). The early church was devoted to prayer, and power followed (Acts 2:42).
Why do some people lose their fire?
- Inconsistency—they only pray when they feel like it.
- Distractions—social media, busyness, and entertainment steal their focus.
- Lack of discipline—they don’t have a prayer routine.
How do you sustain the fire?
- Set a fixed prayer time daily and guard it!
- Fast regularly—fasting fuels the fire.
- Pray in the Spirit constantly—it builds endurance.
- Surround yourself with fire-filled believers!
