A HEART OF WORSHIP BEYOND CHRISTMAS

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Monday, 30 December 2024

Message: The wise men worshipped Jesus after His birth, showing that worship is a continual response to the Savior, not a seasonal one.

The wise men’s journey to worship Jesus didn’t end on the night of His birth. Their worship came later, when they arrived at the house where Jesus was with His family. They brought gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh and bowed before the King of kings. Their worship was not dictated by a season but by a revelation—Jesus was worthy of their devotion.

True worship doesn’t end when Christmas does. It’s not tied to a season, a day, or a moment. Worship is the continual response of a heart that recognizes the Savior for who He is: the Redeemer, the Lord, and the Light of the World. Just as the wise men brought their best to Jesus, we are called to offer our lives as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.

So, beloved, as the decorations come down and life returns to its normal rhythm, let us carry the heart of worship forward. Worship isn’t confined to church services or special occasions. It’s expressed in our daily lives—through our prayers, our praise, and the way we live in obedience to Him. The joy of Christmas is not over; it continues as we daily bow our hearts in awe of the Savior who came for us.

Scripture Reading:

Matthew 2:11 – “On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.”

Refreshing for the Day:

Reflect on how the wise men responded to Jesus with heartfelt worship. Ask yourself: How can I cultivate a heart of worship that goes beyond seasons and special days? Spend time today worshiping Jesus in prayer and through acts of love, offering your best to Him in gratitude. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

Worship is not seasonal—it is the continual response of a heart that recognizes the Savior’s worth.

Responsibility:

What does worship look like in your daily life? How can you live in a way that continually honors and glorifies Jesus?

Prayer:

O Lord Jesus, I bow my heart in worship to You. Help me to carry a heart of worship every day, not just during special seasons. May my life be a reflection of Your glory, and may my actions and words bring honor to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Prophetic Declaration:

I declare that my life is a living act of worship to Jesus. Every day, I will honor Him with my thoughts, words, and deeds, carrying the joy of His presence into all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Bible Texts:

Matthew 2:11
