We all hate feeling uncomfortable; yes, everyone does. But there are yet necessary unpleasant situations we may all need at some point or the other in our lives. It may be painful, we may not enjoy it, but when it’s over, we would be much better off than we were before. At such times, God is pruning us for the best. Pruning season is a period of shaping and reshaping. God is trimming off our excesses and taking away those limitations that are hindering our growth and development in life. Jesus said in John 15:2,
SCRIPTURE: Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit]. (John 15:2 AMP)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, beloved, anything could cause a limitation in your life. It could be a bad relationship, or negative attitude. These could negatively impact your destiny. So, God would prune you and get them out of your life. Pruning is not so fascinating. You may not like it the process, but when it’s over, you’re much better off than you were before. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: It’s not all the uncomfortable situations in our lives are diabolic, some are God pruning us for the best.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, learn to discern when God is pruning you and submit yourself completely.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life. Prune everything that does not glorify You in my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As the Lord prunes you, may you be fruitful again in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
